Edith Pomarol-Clotet trained in psychiatry in Barcelona and has a PhD from the University of Luebeck. She spent 7 years as a researcher in the Brain Mapping Unit in Cambridge University. She has been the coordinator of the Research Unit in Benito Menni CASM for 5 years.
She is currently the Director of the FIDMAG research foundation established by the Hermanas Hospitalarias group of hospitals.
Her main research interest is in the structural and functional imaging changes found in severe mental disorders and relationship of these to symptoms and cognition. A focus of her group is multimodal imaging and the development of new methods of functional connectivity and structural analysis.
