Marta Martín received her Medical Degree from the University of Barcelona (2002-2008) and trained as a Psychiatrist at the Parc Salut Mar in Barcelona (2009-2013). During her last year of training, she got a Grant to do a 3 months stay at the Affective Disorders Unit of Barwon Health in Geelong, Australia, where she took part in different international research projects.
She worked as an Attending Psychiatrist at the University Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol (2013-2015) where she also carried out research projects focused on Liaison Psychiatry. Since then, she has combined clinical and research activities with teaching, being an Assistant Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Currently, she has enrolled in the FIDMAG Research Foundation obtaining a Rio Hortega grant to do clinical research, with a special interest in the first episode psychosis and schizophrenia.
