We are pleased to announce that our colleague Maitane Oscoz Irurozqui has received the cum laude distinction for her doctoral thesis, presented at the University of Barcelona. This recognition, awarded to works of outstanding academic excellence, is a well-deserved reflection of her dedication, rigor, and commitment to scientific research.
Under the supervision of Dr. Edith Pomarol-Clotet and Dr. Mar Fatjó-Vilas, her study focused on the impact of cannabis use and genetic variability of cannabinoid receptors in early psychotic episodes. An innovative project that significantly contributes to the current understanding of psychosis, opening new avenues for a more precise comprehension and personalized approach to these types of disorders.
On behalf of the entire team, we want to congratulate Maitane on this important milestone and her valuable contribution to the field of neuroscience and mental health.
Congratulations, Maitane! We continue to celebrate this special achievement with you.
